DESCRIPTION

Fatty acids are vital nutrients used by every system in the body. They provide omega 3, 6, 7, and 9 essential fatty acids derived from sea buckthorn and evening primrose oils. DMK EFA+ supplements are essential for healthy hair, skin, and nails and are prescribed for various conditions to improve barrier function and alleviate TEWL. They are particularly useful for regulating acne, inflammation, hyper-reactive skin, pigmentation, signs of aging, and hormonal imbalances. DMK EFA+ is formulated with specific plant-based ingredients sourced in person at their site of origin.

The DMK EFA+ supplement contains a potent group of fatty acids required for the structure of all membranes in the body. DMK EFA+ “waterproofs” the skin, maintaining barrier function and the permeability of cells; this ensures adequate free water levels and a healthier extracellular matrix. DMK EFA+ was designed for various skin conditions to repair the cell membranes and help rebuild more robust, healthier, and better functioning skin. It is also recommended for clients undergoing professional Skin Revision treatments. Omega fatty acids reduce inflammation (locally and systemically), restore barrier function, improve immune function, increase hydration, create healthy cell membranes, and influence sebum quality and production. FORMULA HIGHLIGHTS

Oenothera Biennis Seed Oil (Evening Primrose) — EPO comprises fatty acids, phytosterols, polyphenol compounds, and flavonoids. It’s rich in concentrations of linoleic acid (65%-85%), gamma-linolenic acid (7%-14%), and oleic acid. This combination suppresses inflammation and reduces oxidative stress. It also mediates acne- causing inflammation in pilosebaceous units.

Hippophae Rhamnoides L. Seed Oil (Sea Buckthorn) — Contains omega fatty acids 3, 6, 7, and 9. DMK’s sea buckthorn supply is grown wild in Mongolia. Like many of our ingredients, it is harvested using supercritical extraction, where highly pressurized CO2 acts as a solvent to break down the material into highly concentrated extracts. Omega-7 is a lipid naturally found in the skin. It improves barrier function and increases lubrication and hydration of tissues. Sea buckthorn oil also contains gamma- linoleic acid (GLA, an omega-6 fatty acid). Combined, these two fatty acids work to regenerate and repair the skin, slow aging, and reduce inflammation. GLA improves blood flow and oxygenation; it is also a component of the intercellular lipids found in the epidermis and the phospholipids of cell membranes.
